The Academy of AHMS is a NAF award-winning program that prepares students to pursue the rigors of higher education in the medical/science major. All students attain a minimum of 30 college credits during their high school career.
This academy offers broad exposure to the many careers in medical/science spectrum, a directed curriculum, affiliations with institutions of higher education and
professionals in the medical/science fields. GCIT offers an array of extra-curricular activities and electives providing a fully comprehensive high school experience with a
concentration on a successful career in the medical field.
The Academy of Allied Health and Medical Science offers students a comprehensive
college preparatory high school experience with a focus on science, mathematics, and
technology.
The Academy has an Advisory Committee made up of professionals from the medical
community including physicians, veterinarians, dentists, nurses, therapists, and
health care administrators.
As part of GCIT, the Academy of Allied Health and Medical Science joins two successful academies with proven track records. Our graduates have been accepted at many prestigious colleges and universities.
GCIT’s Academy of Allied Health and Medical Science has been awarded a Hewlett Packard grant and a New Jersey I.D.E.A.S. grant. GCIT is one of eight New Jersey schools to receive a Tech Prep grant.
