We are very proud to offer a full range of programs to address the academic and occupational needs of both Adult and non-traditional students. We offer programs at GCIT to assist you in obtaining your GED or Diploma as well as post-secondary educational and vocational opportunities. The programs listed on this site are designed specifically to help you in your journey of life-long learning.
New Course:
Refresher Course - Cosmetology
Theory:
This program is designed to prepare individuals for the theory portion of the New Jersey Cosmetology Board license examination. The students will participate in theory tests to determine areas of strength and weakness. Students must bring their own textbooks and pay a $30 on-line fee in addition to the cost of the class.
Hands-On:
This program is designed to prepare individuals for the hands-on portion of the New Jersey Cosmetology Board license examination. Students will participate in mock practical evaluations to determine areas of strength and weakness.
Both one-week courses run Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 pm and cost $250 per session. Start date of each individual class depends on number of students registered. Students must provide the required supplies and equipment to practice theory and/or clinic, depending on which course they take. Students may take either program or both depending on their need to complete their Cosmetology license.
