GCIT Aquatics Mission Statement

The GCIT Aquatics Program is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and high-quality environment that fosters skill development, physical fitness, and personal growth. Through instructional, competitive, and recreational opportunities, we empower students and community members to achieve their full potential in and out of the water. Our commitment is to safety, sportsmanship, and excellence while promoting lifelong wellness and respect for aquatic environments.

Gloucester County Institute of Technology is pleased to make available the use of the pool and fitness center to the residents of Gloucester County when school is not in session.

2025-2026 FALL/WINTER HOURS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Begins the Tuesday after Labor Day and ends the first Monday following the last day of school.

Submission of this form serves as official acknowledgement of participation and confirms that the school’s administration has approved entry. A new form submission must be completed for each individual diver.

By submitting this form, the school’s Athletic Department acknowledges:

The divers listed above are approved representatives of their school.
All athletes meet NJSIAA and conference eligibility requirements.
The school assumes full responsibility for the conduct and supervision of its athletes and staff during the event.
GCIT assumes no liability for injuries or accidents occurring as a result of participation.
A formal COI will be provided prior to the involvement of any competition.
Individual entries will have payments and/or purchase orders properly satisfied prior to any competition.

Terms of Servicerequired

By submitting this entry, the participating school, its athletic department, coaches, athletes, and representatives agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Gloucester County Institute of Technology (GCIT), the Gloucester County Vocational-Technical School District, its Board of Education, employees, agents, and volunteers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses — including reasonable attorney’s fees — arising out of or related to:

Participation of the school’s athletes and staff in any GCIT-hosted diving event;
Use of GCIT’s facilities, equipment, or property;
Any injury, accident, or loss sustained by participating athletes, coaches, or spectators, except where caused by GCIT’s sole negligence or willful misconduct.

The undersigned acknowledges that diving is an inherently risky athletic activity, and that their school has taken appropriate measures to ensure athletes are physically prepared and properly insured for participation.

The Life-Saving Training Institute is a full-service American Red Cross Health and Safety Training Company. They provide American Red Cross CPR and Lifeguarding courses at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology.
