The Board of Education consists of the executive county superintendent of schools, ex-officio, and six persons to be appointed by the Director of the Board of Chosen Commissioners, with the advice and consent of the remaining members of the Board of Chosen Commissioners. In accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:46-35, at least three of the appointed members shall have an interest in in the field of vocational education. The appointed members serve for terms of three years and shall continue to serve until their successors are appointed and qualify, except that of those first appointed; two shall be appointed for terms of one year, two for two years, and two for three years.
A board meeting is held monthly for the transaction of the business of the District. A schedule of the meeting dates, times, and locations are posted by the Superintendent’s Office. The Board of Education welcomes all members of the public to attend and to participate in these meetings.
