Per N.J.S.A. 18A:54-16, the Board of Education consists of the executive county superintendent of schools and six persons to be appointed by the chief elected executive officer of the County of Gloucester, with the advice and consent of the board of chosen commissioners. Annually during the month of October a member or members, as the case may be, of the board shall be appointed to serve for a term of four years, and thereafter until the appointment and qualification of his/her respective successor, to take the place of the member or members, as the case may be, whose term or terms shall expire on November 1 then next ensuing.
A board meeting is held monthly for the transaction of the business of the District. A schedule of the meeting dates, times, and locations are posted by the Superintendent’s Office. The Board of Education welcomes all members of the public to attend and to participate in these meetings.
