Graduation Information
Dear Parents/Guardians and Graduating Senior:
We are so excited for your upcoming graduation and would love to hear about what's next for you after high school. Please take the time to complete the Post-High School Plans Form to let us know what you'll be up to. To access the form you will go onto your PowerSchool account via an internet browser, not the app.
This form can only be submitted once. Please be sure to hit the submit button on the bottom right when you are done entering your information. Please see below for where to find the form.
Also, for the graduating class of 2026 there is a new requirement.
Under the code P.L.2023, c.295, In order to receive a high school diploma, all students in the graduating class of 2026 and 2027 MUST:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the New Jersey Financial Aid Application, OR
- Be exempted from the requirement in accordance with procedures outlined in the law.
All parents/guardians of student in the class of 2026 are required to sign the attached form. You only need to check ONE box.
If you are applying or plan to apply for financial aid, please check the box “I have/plan to complete the FAFSA for 26-27SY by May 1, 2026.
If you are not planning to apply for financial aid, please check the box “I am waiving my option to complete the FAFSA for 26-27SY”
If you check the box to waive the application – you still can complete the application in the future. GCIT just needs the form to be completed as a graduation requirement.
Please have the FASFA signature form back to Kristyn Carelli in the GCIT Guidance Office or via email at kcarelli@gcecnj.org no later than May 1, 2026. (If you have already completed and sent to guidance then please disregard.)
