Social & Emotional Learning
Rocky is a mindfulness and SEL teacher, coach, and mentor working with schools, athletes, and business professionals. His purpose is to cultivate self-awareness, self-regulation, and self-mastery for our overall development in life performance, wellbeing, interpersonal and social growth. He has an extensive background in mindfulness, for years studying under and working alongside Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant’s mindfulness and performance expert, George Mumford. He’s also been trained through the CASEL framework, University of Pennsylvania Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program, ACE Behavioral Change Specialist and Health Coaching certifications, Center for Adolescent Studies Advanced Trauma-Informed Care for Professionals Working with Youth and Teaching Mindfulness to Teens among others. Rocky is a married husband and father of three, born and raised in South Jersey.

Title I - Parent Information
Title I After School Enrichment Program:
GCIT’s Title I After School Enrichment Program for the SY2024-2025 will run from Monday, September 9, 2024, through Thursday, June 5, 2025, in the GCIT Media Center, from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM. This program is offered to all GCIT students, at no cost to families, as a resource to help strengthen their skills in Mathematics and/or English Language Arts. Snacks and drinks will be provided Monday-Thursday.
Lunch Time ELA & Mathematics Support:
Second Semester Lunchtime Support Schedule:
ELA:
- Tuesday: 10th grade students - 7th period in the Media Center
- Wednesday: 11th & 12th grade students - 6th period in the Media Center
- Thursday: 9th grade students - 5th period in the Media Center
Mathematics:
- Tuesday: 10th grade students - 7th period in the Media Center
- Wednesday: 11th & 12th grade students - 6th period in the Media Center
- Thursday: 9th grade students - 5th period in the Media Center
Summer Bridge Program:
GCIT’s Title I Summer Bridge Program for the SY2025-26 will run Monday, July 7, 2025, through Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. in the GCIT Media Center. Students may attend on any day, at any time, at their convenience. Incentives will be provided if a student attends at least 15 in-person sessions, complete 2 hours of work per session, and demonstrate growth in mathematics and/or ELA.
This program is offered to all GCIT students, at no cost to families, as a resource to help strengthen their skills in Mathematics and/or English Language Arts. Registration is required to participate in the program. Transportation is provided by parent/guardian.

ESEA/ESSA Title I and Title IIA Meetings
At least once annually, a public meeting shall be held for the express purpose of informing parents/guardians of the programs and activities provided with Title I funds.
There will be two scheduled meetings during the SY2024-25 at 6:00 PM via Microsoft Teams:
Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams
Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams
All GCIT Parents/Guardians will receive more information, and a link to join the virtual meetings, via email prior to the scheduled meetings.

Summer Bridge Program

Title I - After School Enrichment
The SY2024-25 Title I ELA and Mathematics After-School Enrichment Program is available to all GCIT students.
The Title I After-School Enrichment Program is held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM in the GCIT Media Center. Students have the flexibility to attend any portion of these sessions to strengthen their literacy and/or mathematics skills, to become college and career ready.
